Plains Baptist Assembly is located in Blanco Canyon about 9 miles south of Floydada Texas. Our current mission is to provide facilities and staffing to facilitate summer camps, retreats, and conferences. Our location is very unique and will likely surpize you when you visit us. Most do not expect to find such a beautiful place in this part of Texas. God uses the scenic beauty of our location and the servant hearts of our staff to complement the ministry of your events. We invite you to visit us and check out this piece of Blanco Canyon that we believe God created for His purposes. We are here to serve you and to help make sure your event is all it can be. Service to you and ministering to all who come through our gate IS our reason for existing!

Our History
Plains Baptist Assembly was established in 1947 by a group of visionary people who followed God's leadership and direction to establish an encampment in this part of Texas. We will celebrate 60 years of ministry service this year. During this 60 years, more than 12,000 professions of faith and more than 2,300 decisions for special survice have been made during events held on the PBA campus. PBA has a RICH heritage of faithful service to our Lord. This heritage continues as we seek now to discover what God has in-store for PBA in the future!
Our Vision
We seek to discover, and then actively pursue, what God has in-store for the work and ministry of Plains Baptist Assembly within the next five years, through the next decade and beyond. Vision 2020 reminds us to keep our eyes and our plans focused on God's leadership and direction as we discover what He has planned for PBA.
2007 will be a pivital year for the ministry of PBA as we work together with churches, ministries and individuals in our 17 county ministry service area to define a Ministry Master Plan and a Campus Master Plan to accomplish the initiatives God reveals to us. PBA is truly a ministry partnership of the more than 220 churches and missions of the Lubbock Area Baptist Association, South Plains Baptist Association and the Caprock Area Baptist Association. We are also seeking input from churches and ministry groups not included in these associations as we earnestly work to discover God's plan for the future.
